"So what is Neighbourhood Watch?"
We get asked that question a lot and, in one sense, it's hard to answer. This is because Neighbourhood Watch is a response to the specific local safety concerns in an area. These will vary from place to place. In one community it may be house breakings, in another it might be vandalism and in yet another it might be road safety. For some real life examples have a look at our success stories.
We're focusing on five days from 22nd June to the 26th with each having its own safety theme and suggested activities. Bronze activities take hardly any time at all, Silver take a bit longer. For those looking to do even more we've created the Gold category. Here's how it all looks.
Neighbourhood Watch Scotland also produces the Safer Communities Safer Scotland booklet which you can download here: http://www.neighbourhoodwatchscotland.co.uk/pages/1676/1/News_and_Information.html
Full of great preventative advice, it's something watches are finding very useful with hard copies flying off the shelves!
